"We love Criminal Minds – who doesn’t!  So when A.J. Cook contacted us a few months ago to plan her newborn session we were as excited as could be.  Our first thought – let’s just say it out loud and be honest with you GIRLS WEEKEND!  We love travelling together – true story.  Secondly – we LOVE AJ Cook!  So it is a huge win-win all around.
We met up in Manhattan Beach, CA (although AJ is from Hermosa Beach, just 10 mins away).  We happen to be addicted to the Manhattan Beach Marriott – which has the most amazing hot pretzels, burgers and beer (and a funny turn of events, also has seagulls that sing… more on that topic can be found on our instagram).  We have stayed there a few times now, and that just happens to be our new happy place.
We arrived at A.J.’s gorgeous house on the beach, and were greeted by her husband Nathan, their son Mekhai, and of course AJ holding baby Phoenix.  Our session was full of beautiful images, both in their home – and on the beach at sunset. 
It was an absolute joy meeting this beautiful loving family – and being some of the first people to have the opportunity see and hold sweet baby Phoenix. "
